HIRING PROCESS
THE HIRING PROCESS FOR DOMESTIC HELPERS
The careful steps we take to hire the best to ensure you have peace of mind
All our domestic helpers at Novation Resources are NCII (National Certificate and TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) qualified and this is after undergoing thorough training spanning 7 to 14 days at our dedicated training centre in the Philippines. The training modules help to inculcate best practices needed for them to perform the job including the hard and soft skills as well as English. But we are often asked, “What is the process of hiring at Novation Resources?” To answer this question, here’s a quick step by step guide.
The first step is the Fact Finding stage. This is where we speak to our clients and gather their thoughts, preferences and requirements for the ideal candidate.
We will then compare what we have found with our candidates database to derive the Initial List of Pre-Qualified Candidates. To maximise potential, we will also advertise the said requirements to attract potential candidates for the role.
Every shortlisted candidate will be interviewed by Novation Resources and we will assess their skills, experience and suitability for the job.
In moving with times, we practice Open Disclosure at the interviews where we inform the candidates about the job and the cultural orientation of the intended workplace. Being forthright has been proven to mitigate if not eliminate the chances of misfits.
The shortlist is further filtered to arrive at the Final Shortlist of best fits. Profiles of candidates from this final list will be shared with the clients.
The next step is the schedule for an interview at a time convenient to the client. The interview can be done via telephone or video conferencing and if needed, can be organised at our office at Novation Resources.
Once the client is satisfied with a candidate and has decided to hire particular candidate, we proceed to coordinate and secure the necessary documents, approvals, visas and their departure and arrival arrangements.
